Poem: The Pain

Poem: The Pain

The clock is ticking on the wall

It’s a quarter past four

The wind is moaning through the window

This darkness is but a realm of sorrow

Dreaming, love builds up the atmosphere

Awakening, nothing left but two lines of tears

Melatonin doesn’t work for me anymore

Yogi tea, too

How can I live without you?

I’m gonna be okay, right?

I ask myself in the night

But the heart tells me no

Because it's breaking slow

I lay back and close my eyes

Back in the time of my life

While you are still standing in the corner

The setting sun shines on your face

Slowly, fading away

I sigh,

At least the gain is worth the pain.
